Matthew Tompkins, MD

Dr. Tompkins joined our practice in July of 1999. He received his undergraduate degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and his MD degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his OB/GYN residency at the University of Virginia, and is board certified in the practice of Obstetrics/Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine/Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Tompkins specializes in pelvic reconstructive surgery, incontinence, ultrasound, and robotic surgery. He and his wife enjoy spending time with their three children, skiing, swimming and cheering on The Ohio State University football team.

Lewis Dabney, MD

Dr. Dabney has been practicing in Lynchburg since 2001. Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, he received his undergraduate and MD degree from and completed his OB/GYN residency at the University of Virginia. His special concentrations include pelvic surgery, polycystic ovary syndrome, infertility, sexual dysfunction and pelvic pain. Dr. Dabney enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is also the guitarist in a local band.

Sarah Woods, MD

Dr. Woods is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and joined our practice in 2015 after completing a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN. She received her medical degree at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA and completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. She offers a full range of gynecologic services, specializing in minimally invasive surgical procedures for treatment of dysfunctional uterine bleeding, uterine fibroids, endometriosis and infertility. She and her husband have two children. Away from work she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She and her family are new to Virginia and look forward to exploring the state and making Lynchburg their home.

Vickie Moore, DNP, FNP-C

Ms. Moore joined the practice in 2000. She received her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Lynchburg College, her Masters in Nursing from the University of Virginia, and her Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Old Dominion University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Radford University. As a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Vickie enjoys helping women of all ages with their gynecological needs and issues. She and her husband have two children.
